Textural and Pink: BRIDE Styled Shoot

We've got lots of time on our hands now, so why not bring blogging back?? Let's start with this dreamy shoot we did with BRIDE KC a little over a year ago. Yes, I know that's a while ago but obviously we have not kept up on the blogging so we gotta go back. Way back. But you know this would still be trendy this year, so have a look! P.S. THERE'S BUTTERFLIES :)

We are all in when it comes to dried florals and love the team of talented vendors (hello BRIDE KC and Kaley from Kansas, we love you!) we got to work with. Our girl Kylie Killen absolutely crushed it in those Made with Love Bridal and Sarah Seven dresses and her hair and makeup is spot on thanks to Jaime Miller Middleton, owner of The Hair Parlor. Not to mention this incredible stairwell we got to shoot in - the texture on that wall is unreal!

When it came to the florals we knew we wanted to work with dried materials and we just love how everything worked together. I mean, we could dream of the warm toned baby’s breath/native grass/statice combo all day long.

But let’s talk baby’s breath. You either love it or you hate it. But here’s why we’re big baby’s breath enthusiasts.

  1. It takes color extremely well. We are so into giving baby’s breath a little extra lovin’ with some fun color. In this styled shoot we used light pink to give it a soft and feminine touch.

  2. It’s easy to dry. If you know us, you know we are a little obsessed with drying flowers. Baby’s breath is one of the easiest flowers to dry and looks almost the same as it does fresh.

  3. Texture. It creates such a soft structural texture that we can’t get enough of. Bunching baby’s breath together for installations makes such a statement so we love to use it for styled shoots like this one.

So check out these beyond dreamy photos and let us know if you’re on board with the baby’s breath trend!
